Sending dangerous goods
Safety is our top priority at thePost. Some items cannot be sent via the postal service in TAY or overseas because they contain dangerous substances that could be a danger to our delivery couriers. Some examples of these materials include:
- Flammable Liquids - Alcohol, nail polish, perfume
- Aerosols - sunscreen, bugspray
- Explosives - TNT, fireworks
- Corrosives - Batteries
It is your responsibility to check whether the items that you are sending are dangerous or restricted.
Customs restrictions in TAY
Certain goods being sent within TAY may be subject to restrictions, and they may need to meet certain conditions - for example, if importing goods, you may need a permit in order to import them.
As a general guide, the following items may not be sent through the postal system in TAY:
- Narcotic drugs
- Tobacco products
- Live animals - including players
- Combustion engines - cars, planes, mechas
- Weapons - swords, bows, crossbows, arrows
The following items have restrictions on their importation:
- Animals and animal products
- Beverages
- Command Blocks
- Lighters
- Flint and Steel
- Fireworks
- Organic material
- Valuable items
Import duties and tax
When importing items into TAY, you may need to pay tax on items that have an assessed value over $1000 BND.
If you do the wrong thing
In the event that we locate a package containing goods that cannot be sent, we:
- will not deliver the item
- will not refund postage
- are not obliged to return the item to you
We may also, at our discretion
- Modify the item to make it safe,
- Return the item to you, where you bear the cost of the return,
- Destroy or dispose of the item, or
- If required to by law, we may deliver the item to the appropriate authorities.
